Background and experience
Simon has more than 45 years' experience across financial services, law, government and the not-for-profit sector. He previously held investment banking leadership roles at Macquarie Group, including Executive Chair of its Victorian business, and served as Chair of AMP Limited.
His diverse non-executive career spans public policy, science and innovation, technology, education and the not-for-profit sector. His leadership roles have included chairing the boards of CSIRO, Independent Schools Victoria, MS Research Australia, MYOB and serving as Chancellor of Monash University and the inaugural President of the Australian Takeovers Panel.
Simon brings deep expertise in strategy, business performance, risk management, legal and regulatory matters, stakeholder engagement and governance across private, public and social sectors. He also brings broad experience in client and people and culture matters.
